In case you have been living under a rock, in Donald Trump’s words; Minecraft is Huuuuge! In short, Minecraft is another world. Minecraft is used for entertainment, education and soon for testing for artificial intelligence
Minecraft is in our schools, our homes, and one organization is trying to use it for the way we think about animals. It should come as no surprise that animal rights mega-group, PETA has a world of its own within Minecraft. Whether you play Minecraft or not, this is worth a look. It is quite impressive.
By partnering with Minecraft PETA is hoping to make being Veg cool. In their world PETA features vast, large farms, free roaming animals – the way they were intended, and vacant, dilapidated slaughterhouses.

How to Join PETA’s Minecraft Utopia on Minecraft
- To join, you need to be using a Minecraft version between 1.7.2 and 1.7.10. If you have version 1.8 of Minecraft, select “Edit Profile” in the Minecraft launcher. In the “Version Selection” dropdown, choose “release 1.7.10.” Then hit “Save Profile.”
- Download the PETAcraft resource pack. To experience the event properly, you should use the MCPatcher program (available here) to view the full visual features of the PETAcraft resource pack (available here).
- Log in to the PETA server. The server address, which you enter after selecting “Multiplayer” and then “Add Server,” is peta.hyperscalemc.com.
- Explore the PETA island!
